My favorite piece of traditional literature is The Lion and The Mouse. I can remember
loving this book and reading it to my younger sister. This story introduces
the unlikely pair of a lion and a mouse. One day, the lion spares the life of a
mouse only to have the favor repaid when the lion ends up in a hunter's trap
and the mouse frees him. I am a believer in karma and paying it forward, and
this story definitely shows this. It has a great message of helping others and
is very easy to read and follow along. I would definitely use this story in my
classroom.
